If your games run bad upgrade.
If your games run fine leave the systems as is.
Surely would do much better in Gaming.
CPU should still be fine. You could maybe get better CPU Cooling and OC that CPU.
If there is no need for you to upgrade - why bother?

You seem to have answered your own question but if you feel the need to upgrade for the hell of it and your monitor is 1080p the GTX1060 6GB/Rx 580 8GB or the higher GTX1070 would be cards to look at.
Relevance to old hardware your GTX760 is below the GTX960 and the GTX1060/ Rx 580 competes with the GTX980.
But yea, below GTX 780 3GB is pretty much rubbish for GTAV, cranked up...
