HTPC help?
So I've been tasked with making an HTPC for $500 (preferrably less) capable of streaming Netflix/Hulu/Amazon Prime/Crunchyroll/BritBox (BBC) in 4k

I know nothing about HTPCs, so here's my parts list so far:

CPU: AMD A10-9700e
Before anyone flips and says I should get the Pentium G4600, here's my reasoning:
This CPU's iGPU is noticeably more powerful than the HD 630 in the Pentium, and since this PC will never be doing anything where processing performance matters, the iGPU's performance is more important. Also this CPU is only 35W, which is nice.

MB: Asrock B350 Gaming ITX/ac
Integrated Wi-Fi is a godsend in a small case from what I understand

RAM: 1x8 stick, whatever's cheap and not from TEAM group

Storage: 1TB WD Blue, the standard (Will be used to store some photos, so whatever)

PSU: Haven't decided yet, probably a Corsair CX450 or something cheap and low-wattage

Case: I actually need help with this one. I was looking at the Silverstone SUGO since it can fit full-sized ATX PSUs and is dirt cheap (and I like how the white variant looks like a Star Trek device), but I hear the airflow is lacking.

OS: Here's the part that I really need help with. I was planning on using Ubuntu, but that would require the use of a keyboard to function. While Kodi exists and can be controlled with a controller, I hear it has compatability issues with Netflix and Amazon Prime.

How is this list? Any tips?

Steam client running background and Steam Controller is all you&family need in living room.

Just make proper universal settings for controllers desktop mode: arrows, trackball mouse, m1,m2, f11, esc, zoom IN/OUT, enable gyro for precise mouse movements... and so on...

It is easy to write (light browsing) with Ubuntus Onboard screen keyboard so no need to actual keyboar&mouse in living room.

If you are lucky enough it is possible to even boot pc wirelessly with Steam Controller but this feature is not supported by all motherboards. (usb keyboard remote power on).

I'm not running Steam on this.

I have no need for anything Steam related, as this is solely for streaming shows.

No need to "use" Steam at all. It is just for the controller to run it properly. Make a second empty acconut for family use and start Steam "-silent" mode so nobody even notice it is running background.

Oh, okay.

I'll consider it, thanks.
I'm just going to throw it out there... If you just want a stream box why not get like a Fire, Roku, etc? Maybe not LITERRALLY but what I'm saying is, is that there are hundreds of other options for streaming media with up to a TB of storage to save your media offline and stream it to other users in the house for around $200... Did you actually want a PC with full OS functionality? If not I can share all kinds of really financially feasible options that may suit your needs, without buying more than you plan to use.
