HDMI audio issues, causing game to freeze or crash
I have an MSI GE72VR GRF Apache pro and Windows 10. When trying to play my games, like Deus EX Mankind Divided or Fallout New Vegas using my HDMI cable connecting to my TV, it causes the games to either slow down to the point of freezing, or they crash. I connect my laptop to my soundbar, which is then connected to my TV via arc connection. But when I just output the image to the TV and play audio through my laptop speakers, everything is fine. So I figure there must be an issue with my laptop outputting audio thru the HDMI connection, but this was never an issue with my ASUS laptop. Any ideas on how to fix this?

When I connect my laptop to TV thru the HDMI, the sound actually works when I'm playing movies or music, and it actually shows the playback device thru my speakers as enabled, as it should be. Its only when I start playing a game that slowdown/freeze starts happening, but as I said, if the audio is thru the laptop speakers, it works fine.
On my NVIDIA control panel, I only get "3D Settings." I know that there should be a way to adjust the audio output under "Display" according to my Google research, but this doesn't show up for me. Seems I have a problem that other people been having with missing options in their NVIDIA control panel...
