Can HQ processors be overclock?
I have a i7 7700HQ laptop, said here that the base clock speed is 2.8GHz @ 3.8Ghz turbo speed

It boosts itself up to that speed under load automatically.

Yes you can OC a laptop GPU but the laptop will overheat when you do any serious OCing with it. Also OCing a Pascal GPU is not worth it the performance gain will be minimal, 5-10fps if you are lucky.
No, u need to look for a "hk". But laptops are usually already maxing out on thermals.

Remember when i overclocked my gt640m with custom bios to almost 1.1ghz on core and +200 on memory...i felt like a king when i gained 10-15 fps for free :D it still works to this day perfectly fine the temp is 75c max, but i did change the thermal paste and cleaned the fan tho.

Silicon lottery. You got lucky.

My m230 can be maxed out in MSI afterburner and run stable with a free 10-20 fps boost.

But we are talking about Pascal here. Pascal is terrible for OCing.

I wouldnt even try oc'n moble though. Paschel or not. My 1070 though boosts to 2025-2050, id say thats pretty good compaired to stock, but thats pretty typical for that gpu.
