Mixing RAM speeds
I have Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz at the moment and looking to buy another kit so I have 32GB total, the 2133MHZ version is cheaper and I have a Ryzen (AM4) setup and the memory runs at 2133MHZ max (didn't know this when bought it all originally).

Would it conflict at all despite both running at same speed or?

If you buy 2133mhz all your RAM also the 3200mhz ones will run at 2133mhz. CAS latancy is also important.

Just buy the exact same RAM. You could run in to issues if you don't.

Also 32gb is useless for gaming. 16gb is more then enough.

Nope, they will both run at 2133 then. Compatibility issues are (luckily) quite rare nowadays.

But, you should look into your Ram "issue", AM4 does support way higher frequencies than the default 2133, and therefore buy a matching set once you did.
Get the same 3200MHz sticks and at the same size in GBs.

only with XMP as JEDEC specifications are 2133 MHz. AM4 does profit alot from higher RAM frequency but as it is XMP you need to read carefully which RAM is exactly supported.

Yup, and OPs LPX modules usually work quite well in this regard. Thats why i said he should look into it (aka probably BIOS update).
Looks like it'll have to be 3200MHZ...

I updated the BIOS and followed this video to get 3200MHZ working.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpGMP9OKQOc

First boot I got a BSOD (CRITICAL PROCESS DIED) but next boot it seems ok, will try a game or two and see if I get anymore issues, but I tried similar method on older BIOS after getting this system and it didn't work, so maybe in future it will work without this, so getting faster RAM now may be wise for futureproofing.

Just enable XMP..

Don't bother with manually OCing the RAM.

Your RAM is most likely running unstable now..

Reset the BIOS to default and enable XMP, don't touch anything else.

My particular board (Asus x370 Prime Pro) uses DOCP (translates from XMP) instead XMP like other boards, as shown in the video.

Tried the default 3200mhz profile, keep getting random BSODs ingame, going to try 3066mhz.

I should also point out my particular board does have a reputation regarding ram speed issues :/

Edit: Didn't like 3066 either, 2933 seems stable for now.

Its all the same thing; just enable the XMP profile.

Yes given the RAM you have, if going to add more, buy more of the same model/specs for best results.

I also have a Ryzen with a ASRock mobo and my Corsair Vengeance 2666 worked on spot when I enabled XMP.
2133 will limit your CPU performance, AMD is very sensitive for this. 16GB is enough for any current game, wait until RAM gets cheaper. Probably will take at least a year.

I do more than gaming, game development, multiple monitors, have tonnes of apps open.

Even with the tons of app and the multi monitor you are not even getting close to 16gb. The most RAM usage in a game I have ever seen on my own PC is Just Cause 3 with 11gb. Apps don't use that much RAM a couple of MBs at most.

Trust me, enterprise apps can be ram hungry. I'm sitting on 24gb, and thinking about an upgrade :(
Mentioned 11gb I already use without any game open - op might have the same usage.

I mean normal consumer apps Chrome, Steam etc..

I wasn't talking about VMs and stuff like that.
