If you want quality headphones, get quality headphones. If you want a mic, get a quality mic.
Buy from brands that actually manufacture, rather than assemble cheap made in China drivers. Go for the brands that actually develop audio hardware.
If it has "gaming" or "surround sound" in the title or description, don't fall for it.
My advice: Save up.
You could get something that'll work but save up a little and you can get something way better that'll last many years.
Buy them separately. Basically every headset has the same cheap mic.
But yet a lapel mic is super cheap in price, yet way better quality.
Then for headphones, you can get studio/audiophile quality headphones for around the same as those fake, cheap "gaming" headsets.
"Gaming" on any PC or Console product is basically the same stupid fake gimmick used as "R", "GT" or "Special Edition" is used on many line-ups of Cars.
This also helps in case one goes bad. Pretty much all headsets, people usually end up replacing simply due to poor mic, or the mic going bad after a while. Think about it... you can pay $30, 50, 200 for your headset, they all pretty much have the same $1 mic inside.
You realize this all part of why they are bad right?
Studio quality headphones can be worth it.
However, you can always buy clip-on Mic for like $20 or less; which will stomp out basically any Mic that comes built into Headsets that have those includes.
Anyways I'm just suggesting folks weigh their options.
If anything, avoid Kingston's headsets like the plague.
Logitech G430 is approx 1/3 to 1/2 the price and easily out matches something like Cloud-II in every way.
Please, look at Headsets/Headphones from professional brands; if they are not an actual audio brand, don't look at those.
Stand alone mics just seem to be a little unconveneint.
Not sure on AU pricing though.
In USA, G430 is like $40 on Amazon (Logitech lists them for $80)
Yet they stomp anything Kingston offers, hands down.
Before buying any headset though, check the official product support page regarding things such as Firmware Updates, Software, etc...
