mouse causing headphones to buzz?
Ok, so I recently got a new corsair harpoon rgb gaming mouse and I've noticed that ever since I gotit my headphones have been making a quiet buzzing sound every time I move the mouse. I'm not completely sure it's the mouse as it seems to constantly buzz im games etc but it's very frustrating.

I'd bet dimes to dollars that the cabling from the front I/O panel to the board header is near or wrapped around a usb cable or trace somewhere leading to cross talk. Those cables aren't shielded at all. Using the rear jack eliminates this so that means it's the signal path.

try rerouting the front panel cabling to keep it away from other stuff, or get a 1/8th stereo jack extension cord and use that from the back connector instead.
I'd recommend you consider getting a decent headphone amp as well. The output level of the onboard ports aren't great, and probably can't drive decent headphones too well. I personally use the 18v CmoyBB with my Sennheiser HD 598's and get great results. Even though my ZXR has an onboard headphone amp (they're uncommon) it just doesn't drive the headphones well enough for my taste.

(FYI, the CmoyBB is/was made by JDSlabs, a small independent manufacturer. He may not make those particular amps anymore, but he's got alot of other more desktop friendly models, and many others still make Cmoy's and/or cmoy kits)
