raspberry pi 3 OS

can i install an 0s on the raspberry pi or rather is it practical or required rather, i need to install the windows os to one and i need it to stay small so can i, is it nessesary, is it practical
now i dont want this to sound mean or anything but PLEASE only post a response i dont need a lecture, ok? if its a stupid question then ok just tell me it is and give me the answer dont post something like
"well it depends"
or
"well then if you are just going to say stuff like that then i wont post an answer"
now to those of you who dont do this then thank you but i dont have the time for a full conversation but if it does "depend" then please tell me on what in the same comment

now like i said im not trying to be mean nor am i normally like this but with a topic like this it does get complicated

The raspberry pi 3 uses a ARM CPU. It can not run Windows.

It is able to run Windows IOT, but that is not a normal Windows OS.

there are probably some linux ARM OS on the web somewhere you can use i think ubuntu mate supports ARMv7

Yeah there are lots of ARM OSs. Ubuntu mate, Debian, Noobs.

But non of them run Windows software.

No ARM OSs will run x86 software native. You could try your luck with the ARM version of debian or Noobs and see if there is a x86 emulator.

Doesn't matter it's not worth it anyway. x86 will run crap (If at all) when emulated on a weak ARM CPU like the Cortex-A53 (The Raspberry PI 3 CPU).

Install Noobs on the SD card and learn some basic Linux.

They will probably not put it up for download.
