Hi, Ive just recently bought my first gaming pc, and Ive got a Asus GeForce GTX 1070 Dual OC 8GB, i7 7700k and a Gaming 7 270x Motherboard. On every game I've started to play Ive put it on high in the graphics but I will still only get 40FPS than on low i I get 60 to 70! This is really annoying because I payed so much money for this PC but I only get low FPS when I shouldnt! Please help if can!

Thanks, Smilez :)

Could it be that you're on your intergrated graphics?

Did you plug the monitor into the motherboard?

You're supposed to plug it into the graphics card itself.

Check if the PCIE power connector is plugged in properly.

^^^This
I believe GTX 1070 requires both 6-pin and 8-pin power pins to be connected. If only one is connected it would explain why can is under performing due to lack of power.

Turn off you pc, open case and look at your card. It will have a 6 pin and 8 pin connector that should be connected via cable to your psu. If you just see 6 pin or 8 pin pins without a cable attached you haven't connected it. Find the needed cable and plug it in.

If you have a cable with a 6 pin and 2 pin you can use that to make the 8 pin or as a 6 pin leaving the 2 pin hanging there.

Nope, 1x 8pin

Mine needs both

Edit. If every GTX 1070 doesn't need both the to OP needs to check manual/card to see if it has 1 or 2 ports.

Edit 2: Card can have 1 or 2 power connections.
Single connection as show in first image here

double ( 6+ 8 pin) as shown here

Your PSU should have couple of 6+2 pin connectors. Your 1070 should have an 8 pin connector. Plug in both the 6 and 2 pin connector from one of the 6+2 pin connectors

Does your fps drop as you play? If it does, it could be due to thermal throttling from bad airflow or the CPU cooler not being installed properly.
