The RX560 is a Esports card made for budget CSG, DOTA etc..

I recommend getting a GTX 1050 Ti instead.

The RX560 Wasn't really designed for AAA titles. I'd recommend the RX 580 Or the GTX 1050 TI or better.

If your a fan of AMD cards, and want something that can play modern games at 60-80+ FPS on high/ultra, then I'd recommend the XFX Radeon RX480 4GB or 8GB, that is if you can find one, I was going to buy one myself, but now they are either sold out, or only available from 3rd party sellers, who have been jacking the prices up $350+ for a RX480 GTR 8GB when it's normal retail is/was $279.99.

Other then that the GTX 1050ti or GTX 1060 6GB would be good for newer games, GTX 1050ti retails for around $145-$175 on Amazon, and is good for playing Fallout 4, Mad Max, Wildlands ect. That being said I'm playing these games with a R7 260x 2GB and it's doing a decent job (Medium preset, 8x TAA, 1920x1080, 45-60 FPS depending on the game) so it's a fair bet that the 560 will net you more FPS then say a R7 260x :)

But if you really want a card for new games without breaking the bank, yeah I'd go with the GTX 1050ti 4GB!

it's not just 3rd party sellers, it's spread to retail outlets. you can can buy a new rx580 right now from best buy, but it's $350 or or $380, depending on which you get. sadly, it looks like this is the new normal. at least for now.

Thank you guys, I think I'll go ahead with the 1050ti 4gb

GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB is the better option if you wish to spend money wisely. I just replaced a 1050 Ti with AMD RX 560 4GB in a system and performance is noticeably worse so far on the games I tried. My 1050 Ti is the MSI low profile version and is powered by the pcie slot alone. The RX 560 I compared it with is the Asus Strix OC version and requires a 6 pin pcie power cable. More power for less performance...

A quick look ^ at reviews would've saved Carl a few $s, any way there ^ you have it Tyty.

Thanks I already knew that before I bought it. I just like to give the Red team a chance and not keep all eggs in one basket so to speak.:steamhappy:

However, I keep seeing reviews that the RX 560's intended competitor is GTX 1050 2GB. Why compare a 4GB card with 2GB I don't know. I guess the RX 580 8GB rivals the GTX 1060 6GB.

They compete because they are at the same price point.

OK you're right on that. I noticed the RX 560 is only slightly cheaper than the 1050 Ti where I am.

But I thought AMD selling point was about offering the best price/performance ratio?

Currently the RX cards (And in some regions also GTX cards) have become quite expensive due to a shortage. Cryptocurrency miners have been buying lots of these cards for mining.

Yes I thought that the 560s weren't affected so much as 570/580 but i did see a Shapphire RX560 Pulse "mining edition" for sale.

AMD could never do properly the X60 models, only catch was being cheaper.

But in case of 560 is even worse cause isnt cheaper by that much and 1050 Ti is not only 20% faster but every model need a 6pin cable, even the 2GB models which is ridiculous.

Seems for Radeon proper cards cards start from X70 which isnt a good portfolio cause what you can think of a company which cannot make even budget cards properly.

I like AMD as CPU but would never put a GPU into my machine, cause in my country electricity is not free...
