best cpu for gtx 970
whats the best cpu to max out my 970 for under 300 bucks, LGA 1151 socket.

some wierd ass one from a prebuilt one from this guy on ebay, it was good for my build. its from the asus gcd11

Make sure the motherboard has a B250 or Z270 chipset. If it has a H110, B150 or Z170 chipset you will need to buy a i5 6500 instead. The 100 series chipset will only work with 7000 series Intel CPUs if the BIOS is updated.
