cant overclock my rx 480 anymore
ok so something weird happened. if i overclock or downclock my card and appy the settings the core clock and memory clock gets stuck at 300mhz. power limit and temp limit option is greyed out in msi afterburner even after unlocking the voltage. same thing happens when i use amd wattman, it gets stuck at 300mhz. i even installed a fresh copy of windows by wiping the hdd clean. anyone knows how to fix this terrible problem?

I think in one of the scripts you need to change something in your profile I will look it up.

voltage control works for me

but temp limit and power limit are grayed out plus that 300mhz bug

grayed out it is in your Profiles file some where, try installing the beta I think it is unlock, you need to remove and delete old Profiles file or win you install a new version the old Profiles file will still be there.

there is no power limit in mine

it used to be there, i had my gpu overclocked for months without problems

now lets say
my gpu core clock is 1303
if i set it to even 1302 and apply, it will get locked to 300mhz

You cant go crazy overclocking with Afterburner with out a system or game crashing and some games will not let you overclock

no such thing, as i said i had a stable working overclock for months, i went back to older drivers from march and its overclocking normally now. seems like a bug with newer drivers

This latest batch of AMD drivers is really something. This is about the tenth horror story I've heard this week, and it's only Wednesday.

i panicked so hard, i thought my gpu bios was forever bugged or something, sucks that i cant overclock for now, i get a really big boost from overclocking

Uninstall all of:
MSI Afterburner
RivaTuner
Reboot and then remove any left over folders/files from those.

DDU App > Safe Mode > Restart
Wipe AMD and reboot.
Then install latest or known most stable AMD GPU Driver.

Then install latest for these:
MSI Afterburner[download.msi.com]
MSI Kombuster[www.geeks3d.com]
RivaTuner[www.guru3d.com]

Configure MSI Afterburner like this:
