Alienware Power Button Logo LED light not working
Hey I've been having a problem with my Alienware 17R3 laptop, the power button shaped as the alien head won't light up. I've tried going to Command Center and fixing it but it won't let me and it shows that it's lit up when it's not. I've also tried shutting down the PC, unplugging the charging cord, holding the power button for a max of 60 seconds and that didn't work. And I've even tried unscrewing the bottom of the laptop and unplugging the ribboned cord to drain the power for 30 seconds and that didn't work either. Although I have to say when I'm in Command Center and click on the power button to change color or transition there's an icon of a battery running low and a blinking power icon right next, it's under the 'On Battery' tab 2 options down, and I've never seen it do that before. HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Either the light is broken or the cable is disconnected.

What cable?
The cable that delivers power to the light.

I don't think it has a name.

Ok, I'd like to add that I have been putting the PC on sleep overnight for awhile, and the only times it'll come on are when I run AlienFX Test

I know its a few years later but I was wondering if you ever fixed this issue and how you did it?

check bios settings, they have an option for the light to be disabled

Negative on BIOS settings. Same model as OP with exact same issue. Thanks anyway.
