'Committed Memory' ???
So i just got an error message saying that my computer is running low on memory and asking to close programs. But task manager shows ram usage is only 55% (17.5 / 31.9 GB). But also the 'Committed' memory is apparently at 32.2/32.9 GB ??? What the :poop: is going on? This never happened before.

I'm not doing much either, just playing Xcom 2...

Is it time to upgrade to 64GB RAM ? And ppl say 32gb is overkill...

What you do is ignore that msg, simple as that.

The OS does this when something launches and grabs up ram to quickly; the OS will popup such msg because it think that due to the speed at which this RAM was taken, that it is warning you something "could" crash as a result.

I have some games and benchmarks cause this; it's just Windows being dumb.

Committed is whats reserved in ram for programs. Like a program uses its ram, but the os allocates more in case the program needs access to more its there. Its a dumb way of doing it but it does take ram space. Thats why if youncontinuously open games etc you never will use up all your ram before crashing (unless you have virtual memory enabled). Something you had up was a leaking.
