Is it fine to take keycaps off of Roccat Isku?
So my keyboard has a somewhat slow response key. The V key doesn't respond and i have to click it about 4-5 times. I've already tested it on another pc and still the same result.
I'm trying to find out if theres something wrong with the inside of the key.

Is it fine to take the keycap off?
Take note: It is a membrane/dome keyboard that also has illuminated keys.

Yes but I don't think it's dirt or so, possible the kb matrix is done.

Yeah it seems that way. Just removed the keycap and tested the rubber under it. It still has a slow response. Any tips on fixing this?

the matrix is done at some point, it's "just" a foil inside.
Fixing, well.. it's possible with some "conductive paint" :wizard:

This is up to you if you want to do this.

1. Take it apart.
2. Move the rubber membrane out of the way.
3. Now you see how the plasic sheets with the circuit, look for the board that it's connected to.
4. Unscrew the sides, to move the sheets out, wipe the sheets, and check if any of the circuit has been damage, as well checking the rubber membrane.
5. Place the sheets back into the board very well seated, you want to make sure it's all the way in, then make sure to tighten the screws well, do not leave these loose in anyway, you want a very good connection with the board and sheet, then put it all back together, then test it.

If it still has the same issue, you might as well get a new one, plus membrane keyboards are not expensive, just visit online, or go to your local computer store, and check gaming membrane keyboards, they're normally range from $10 - $30.
