I need your opinion

I was recently told that this build (https://pcpartpicker.com/list/nyDZTH)
would help me get the frames I needed and quality. I own a prebulit pc (currently) a Lenovo X315 A8. And I added parts like a new graphics card (GTX 1050 TI SC EVGA) and a 500W psu. And because i saw a couple videos of the GTX 1050 and it looks like it is not good enough to help me get the fps and quality I desire I was going to get a new GPU but someone told me that the CPU was the problem not the GPU and I didn't know if that was true or not.

The 1050Ti is better than the 1050. However if you want to max out recent games at 1080p, you will at least need a 1060 6GB.

it adds a little to the cost, but you could go up from the 1600x to the 1700. i have this combo and it looks incredible. only downside is the memory wasn't stable at its rated speed so i had to bump it down to 2666.

What are you trying to achieve? What kind of FPS, what kind of quality, and at what screen resolution?

A stable and high FPS(Above 60fps), I would like the quality to be at high, and screen resolution at 1920x1080

the 1050ti is a garbage card, Get atleast the 1060 6GB model that people are suggesting, I agree with the poster above, bump the 1600x to the 1700. You'll love it later.
