Confusion
I'm in a bit of a conundrum. I'm using the Phanteks P400S, and it has these cables labeled as "H.D.DLED" (There's a symbol with a + above a - after the word), "POWER SW", and " RESET SW". NOTHING in the motherboard or case manuals say anything about where these cables go. My motherboard is the Gigabyte X370 Gaming K7. Help?

It's usually at the bottom of the mobo. These are next to the power button plug. Or restart etc.

As far as I can tell, there is no power button...

My manual says that there are CMOS jumpers, but no actual power button. Can I just forget about these cables then...?

I meant the plug for the power button, how else do you turn on the PC?

Um no, you can't turn on PC if you don't connect the power button to mobo (power switch).

Okay. There is a G-connector, but the manual for plugging the cables in is useless. It just shows pictures of cables in the connector, but not the specific cables or where they're supposed to go. I seriously regret buying this board...

Again, it does not say where the specific cables are supposed to be. I have the manual in my hands!

EDIT: Do I plug the Power SW cable or Reset Cable in the CMOS port?

There's a small tool included with mobo where it has the description of where to plug the cable in. You plug it into the tool, then plug the tool into front panel.

http://www.gigabyte.us/WebPage/141/step7.html

It's called front panel connector.

I'm not good with smart phone and I'm on mobile so pardon me.

Youre talking about the connector, which isn't really helpful since the connector manual is nothing but pictures of unnamed cables plugged into it. Kinda blurry pictures at that.

Nevermind, I found it. Thank you!

Either directly to the PSU or your mobo MUST have header for LED.

I put it on the top so it can have some synergy with the mobo.

I managed to finish the build with the help of a company that actually knows how to write a freaking manual, aka EVGA. Even if the PSU blows up my city, I'll add a star on PCPP for the amazing manual.

The instructions for how to connect the front I/O cables to the G-connector is literally 4 monochrome images of an already-filled connector being plugged and unplugged from the board

How can Gigabyte get away with that?

LEDs need to have + connected to + and - to - because otherwise they will not work. With the power and reset switch front panel connectors you don't need to worry about the orientation it will work either way.

Front panel connectors are a pain in the butt I know but once you figure them out is is quite easy.

On page 19 of the gigabyte many it has the diagram to connect which cable to where. The connector is to help that step but otherwise unnecessary. As you connect to the mobo it can be a pain in the ass to connect very small cable one by one, hence the connector. But the sequence is on page 19 of the manual. And that with me looking up the manual on my phone lol.
