What microphones are you using?
Just asking for no reason, just interesting what microphones people use. Some might have the ultimate "Microphone" there that is worth having :p

I use AT2020 and Samson GoMic.

Depends on the situation. I have a lot of mics.

For my gaming needs, the Blue Yeti works quite well.

I'm using a "Hama CS-461". I personally don't like headphones/microphones, but the current one I use which is nothing special... works fine. I do aim on getting a good quality of a microphone, though.

You dont like headphones/microphones you mean you dont like it separated but you like "Headsets" more?

I just like to use microphones, like the one I'm using right now. I head headsets or headphones - whatever you call them. If there are good microphones for gamers that look like mine then I'd be more than happy to buy one. Or just get the ones streamers are using.

This is what i'm using [www.amazon.com] they're amazing and sound great with any kind of music and any type of game. i've had these plugged into my phone and you can feel the music. it can also keep up with my music editing that amplify the music 2x the original and change the pitch.

Integrated.

I never use the mic, but when I do, I probably sound like an insect.

There is no "Whatever you call them" i see you don't know much about Audio.

Headphones = Only Speakers
Headset = Amplifier, Microphone, Virtual Surround and all the LED bling bling crap.

Please, don't assume until you actually know the person.

I don't know their right definitions because I don't use them nor have ever been interested. I've only used a normal microphone my whole life. My question is if there are microphones for gamers.

You just said you don't know the right definitions nor you was ever interested, that proves that you don't know much about Audio. If you really think you know anything about Audio. Try to use and understand "BoxSim" if you can simulate a whole "Speaker" with it, then i take my words back. Why BoxSim? This is one of the #1 Simulation Programs used for speakers. To simulate this you need to know way more than only what do Ohm or Watt means, something like VAS, CTS, xMAX etc.

You're going way deep into something that is irrelevant to me. I simply asked a question. You can care to comment or just ignore what I said.

Could just use a real XLR mic, like a nice high end Neumann or AKG, hooked up to a preamp and mixer. That would be the "ultimate microphone" I suppose. Definitely overkill.

Honestly, even a cheap (in cost, not quality) SM58 could be considered the ultimate mic. Though, this would still need a preamp/mixer interface to connect to a PC.

As far as USB mics go, I'd say either the Blue Yeti or the AT2020 USB.

I see no real question there because there is no question mark so hard to tell, but the fact that im not a idiot i would say this is your question "My question is if there are microphones for gamers." could you be more precise with your question? Usualy there is no thing like "gaming" stuff. Gaming is like "Extreme" "Pro" etc. only marketing. AKG K701 have no "Gaming" in the game but so far i can tell and have tested also vs "gaming" headsets there are no better headphones than the AKG K701, i could test the HD800S and AKG K812 or even the Audeze LCD-2. In fact i would need to test all headphones in the world to say that AKG K701 are best... but hard to say if there are any better headphones at the same new price (150-170$) that are better.

Microphone = Microphone.

There is no such thing like "Gaming".

The AT2020 XLR is #1 for its Price Performance, if you look at some videos AKG P120 vs AT2020 you can tell that the AT2020 don't records that much noise as the P120 does.

I had also the Auna Mic 900B, not bad but you have more controll over a Audiointerface. Windows likes to change your settings, so sometimes you have 100% volume and overdriving etc... with a Audiointerface you just set 80% volume or 50% (what ever your need is) and you're good with it :) you can leave 100% volume on Windows.

I can agree that the AT2020 XLR is a great value per dollar mic. I've got a few of them in my arsenal.

The AKG P120 isn't that great of a mic. I was talking more about their higher end stuff, like their lovely C414. That would definitely be overkill for gaming lol

I've not tried the Auna Mic 900B. Looks like it might be an European thing, as I cannot find it on the US market at all.
