my cpu cooler makes a grinding noise on cold days
So when I first start up my computer it makes a griding noise "Wrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" It will eventually go away once the computer is warmed up. Any fix to this? Its winter at where I am.

The fan is dying. Buy a new CPU cooler or try lubricating the fan.

I suggest you to just buy a new CPU cooler.

bearings are done, anyway this^
Dunno how much u wanna/can spend, but check brands like bequite, cryorig or noctua.
^ What was said here, replace the Fan before it locks up / stops working completely.

Buy Fans with Hydro Bearing if you want them to last "years"

Replace the CPU cooler. I'd suggest a be quiet cooler or noctura cooler.
If u already have a decent 3rd party cooler; like Hyper212, all u need to do is replace the fan; most 3rd party coolers just use a standard case fan w/ 4pin PWM
