Cleaning one of my gaming computers for dust? Now it's broken.
There was a thread last night about the cleaning of the gpu it was a guy who recommended cleaning the pc with compressed air.

My computer urgently needed to be cleaned, so I took note of the advice and then dragged my machine down to our local gas station where there was no problem lending the compressed air gun.

I sprayed air into all the holes and caves, and the computer was just as nice and clean as it was when i just bought it.

Now I have come home and I can not start the pc! - I have noticed that several fans of my different coolers have flown away and some of my components have lost insulation ....

What should I do?

imo a trollpost. cant imagin that fanblades broke off through compressed air. they simply start spinning then...

LOL no they will break if you use a compressor, it's way too strong. Seen it many times.

You mean more than one person has done this?
Lots of people do it. Lots of people ruin components doing it.

If you own your own and only fill it to a low amount it might be safe, but it's still not worth the risk.
I use an air compressor to clean my pc out. It has an inline air filter to filter out water and an adjustable psi setting. I put mine on about 25 to 30 psi to blow out the dust in my pc. But for my noctua radiator i put it on like 55 to 60 psi to clean inside the fins. I have been doing this for years and never had a problem with my pc after using an air compressor on it to clean it.

Yea its fine, when you use common sense with them
Had to buy new CPU, GPU, new fans and a good cooling system an expensive month for me. Wasted a total of around 900 dollars on those computer parts, luckily some of the other computer parts still worked like disc drive and hard drive. So looking forward to play some high end games now again.:steamhappy:
