Monitor flickering on and off.
Hi Guys, i recently just purchased myself a brand new rig.

Gtx 1080 ti x2 (SLI)
i7-7700k 4.20GHz
30 GB RAM
Acer XB281HK G-SYNC 3840x2160 (4K) 60GHz Monitor
WIN 10

My issue is when playing games, the monitor will turn off for 4 seconds, then turn back on. So im getting this constant flickering (of off and on) wich causes me to shut down the game. It doesnt happen all the time, but its been more frequent the last few days. Ive disabled sli, but it still happens even with a single card operating. My games run on ultra settings at 60fps no problem so i dont understand

How do i find out what is causing this issue to happen? Is it the monitor or the graphic cards?

Thank you.

Read the comments for some extra fixes

If it's games only, check the game, the graphics drivers (reinstall after deleting with ddu), the monitor drivers/config/profile setup, take a 1080ti out and retry. Don't use geforce. Check nvidia driver settings. Monitor may need config setting for speed. Could be power related. Could be wrong cable. etc

I agree with post #1
If it's not just in games it could also be a dodgy cable.Try switching between Displayport/HDMI or DVI if you have the leads/connections to see if it still happens.

thanks guys, sorry for the late reply, im pretty sure i fixed the issues, dx12 is not very sli friendly at the moment in some games so i reverted back to dx11 in those. And im using a single card with the games that dont support sli also. So far so good! Cheers
