I Have Dead Pixels. What Should I Do?
So, my laptop here has around 20 or so dead pixels that seemingly came out of nowhere on the top-left of my laptop screen... What should I do? Try to fix it manually, keep that for a while and have the situation updated, or put it in the service center (I still have my Warranty Card available)?

My laptop is a MSI GP62 6QF Leopard Pro

That's simply faulty, just return it for a repair, or replacement. Very rarely can you get dead pixels back.
Normally, how long does it take for a LCD screen repair on a laptop? Also, is repairing LCD screen gonna remove any data inside the harddisk or not?
It's like fixing a phone, there is a very high possibility that they would just replace the laptop for a quicker turnaround (Around 2 to 8 weeks depending on where it's going back to). Just backup everything or check with them if it's OK to remove the drive with your info on before sending it back. Or you could just backup everything prior to sending it back.

Ah I see. Thanks for the information (Y)
wait a month while the LCD panel replacement takes 10 minutes MAX, including the disassembly and assembly :-\ you need to remove the panel 8 screws - 1 per month :)

if they send it to factory - make full backup AND ERASE ALL YOUR DATA, then make restore from hidden factory restore partition

Yes, always backup your Data and wipe before you send it in; if that is what has to be done. Cause they may just replace the whole laptop.
If in warranty send for service, if not you could try a couple methods to fix, pressing on the screen where the dead area is or flicking it with your fingernail could repair the damage, they could also make it worse, I had a bunch of pixels go bad on a gameboy advance trying to clean the screen, flicking actually brought back the dead zone to mostly normal (slight discoloration).

Don't press or flick too hard though for obvious reasons.
I gently massaged a stuck pixel on my monitor and it disappeared right away.

That does work, but only for stuck pixels, not the dead ones.

I have a PG278Q monitor and during the first month or so it would get stuck pixels from time to time that i had to touch to fix. And then it just stopped happening at all.
