Fixes for microphone delay?
So I recently bought the snowball and I can not stand not being able to hear myself speak, so I tried to check listen to this device, but it was like a half second delay which can really mess you up while speaking. I researched a bit and tried to un-check listen to this device and un-mute the mic in playback settings but it did not work. Anyone know any fixes? The headset I am using is a razer kraken pro and i use a logitech usb adapter from my old g430's on the razer kraken.

The delay for playback on you own system depends on the software that you're using. I've tried the Steam microphone test in the settings and had a delay, while some other software(I don't recall what it was) had no delay whatsoever.

Have you heard of any other programs, because just listening to voice in sound settings has a noticeable delay.
I don't think the delay is easily avoidable unless both the mic and the headphones are connected to the same sound card.

Reason is that the data has to come from the mic, be processed by its respective drivers on the PC, then Windows has to push that audio data to the drivers for whatever your headphones are connected to, which then needs to be processed and translated back to analog audio at the headphones.

Every step in the process incurs a small delay which adds up and becomes quite noticeable.

When both the mic and the headphones are connected to the same soundcard, however, the mic-to-headphones playthrough is done directly on the soundcard hardware itself and doesn't have to be processed multiple times by software, so there is no noticeable delay.
