what graphics card can my hp envy 700-074 use?

Hey I wanted to upgrade my pc for the first time and I was going to use a GTX 750ti but it does not look that powerfull my price range is 150-300

I wanted to play games like gta 5,Insurgency at mid-high settings

the power supply is 460w and is micro-atx case so your more limited to cards that are not too long to fit measure the space for gpu or go with shorter card versions id say gtx 1050ti/1060
or rx 470/480

Forget the 750Ti, it's an obsolete relic. You're looking at a GTX1050Ti for that build, you could get a shortened GTX1060 but they seem to have major overheating problems. I see a lot of people on this forum reporting their mini-1060 is overheating badly.

At least it doesn't seem to be a low profile case this time.
A GTX 960 may work. Depends on the quality of your particular PSU.
Make sure the card fits into the case and that the PSU has the necessary power connectors to power the card.

if you go 960 get the 4gb version only, 2gb is pretty poop now days, where the 4gb is pretty comparable to a 1050ti in performance.

also depends on the case
if there is a hdd bay or something over the end of slot

measure from the case io over the pci-e x16 and 2 slots below it to whatever the card would run into
the front of the case or drive bays or anything in the way
if there are sata ports pointing up near the x16 slot, they cannot be used when a larger gpu is installed
