Speedlink TORID help
Hi, a little over 2 years ago I bought a "Speedlink TORID" gamepad. It worked fine until 3 days ago. When I disconnected it from charging, the circular lights were flashing *very* rapidly and the controller wouldn't want to connect to my computer anymore. I tried everything - Charging it again, reconnecting the wireless dongle, re-installing the driver (even in compatibility mode), moving it to a different port, pressing the reset button on the back of the controller -- no luck! I tried contacting speedlink support but they wouldn't respong since then. Did this ever happen to anyone? What do I do?

If you did a "reset" then you need to redo the connect/pairing for the dongle & controller.

The circular rapid flashing usually means it can't connect or the battery is low.

So again, redo the pairing. If it can't be re-paired back to the dongle again, either the dongle is faulty, or the controller is; most likely.

With its age, it could also just be the battery life is gone. They don't last forever.

How do I pair? When it came out of the box I just connected it and it worked..

Yea OK now that I reviewed it further, doesn't seem to have a pairing/connect feature.
The dongle has unique id for each controller.
I think it's safe to say, it's time to shop for a new controller.
If you like that and it works well, maybe get another one of the same brand/model.

Or perhaps Xbox360 Wired; or for wireless, Logitech F710

If you don't have a volt-meter, maybe have someone open up that controller and look at the battery. It could just be a failing battery. Those are usually sealed Lithium soft-pack batteries; like whats inside a PS3/PS4 controller. With a volt-meter you could easily determine if the battery is dying.

Pairing after reset.

4. WIRELESS CONNECTION
Keep the mode button held depressed for three seconds to
switch the gamepad on. The gamepad’s LED ring will then
start to flash.
If using the gamepad for the first time, press the button again
briefly to establish the connection to the PC or console –
make sure the gamepad is close to the receiver. The connection
process takes a few seconds, but once done the connection
is established automatically when you switch on the gamepad
in future. Once the connection has been established, one
segment of the LED ring will stay lit depending on the
gamepad assignment.

Seems like the bluetooth dongle is pooched, you probably need a new controller.

The controller is apparently searching for a signal but dongle is not putting one out, You could try setting it up in a different machine, if it works then you would know it was an OS issue on your machine.

Thats just my thoughts on seeing your video, I may be wrong.

Hy im having a simmilar problem
I have been searching the internet in order to find the driver for the controller, but all i've come up with were loose ends and sketchy websites.
Is there a way to run it without the drivers?
Help would be much apriciated.

I know that the last post on this thread was almost three years ago but if anyone needs drivers for the Torid gamepad, they are available on the Speedlink website[www.speedlink.com]. Scroll down to find the Downloads button.
