My computer keeps minimizing / unselecting my games when they are in full screen.
I have a Toshiba Satellite C55-A5172 running on windows 8.1
When I am playing a game in fullscreen mode my game doesn't exactly minimize but it disappears, like something unselected it. And when it isn't in fullscreen mode it keeps on being unselected, the same thing even happens with any of my web browsers. The blue bar at the top of the window will flash to gray (which means it's unselected) then I need to click the screen to reselect it. Does anyone have any Idea what might be happening? I've tried opening event view but I have no idea how to use it.

Okay..
Well first of all
67 processes isnt bad, so once you clear up a few it'll be better, i try to minimize the amount of running processes.. it helps avoid issues such as these.

Second of all
i think you want to run a Malwarebytes scan cuz some of that doesnt look legit www.malwarebytes.com specifically the Windows Update process, never known Winupdate to have that icon so you may want to find its location and double check it

ANY NUMBER of things can be causing your issue
The MY.COM Game Center, thats a possibility

Teamviewer has been updated to 12 so you may want to update that lol

The VMware stuff i imagine is for a virtual network? should be ok if you actually use that

The Autodesk desktop app, whatever that is could be affecting it as well. amijm.exe is a part of that program.

Common Software Manager, whatever that is

Skype unless you are using it doesnt need to be open

The adobe acrobrat processes dont need to be running, though probably dont have to do with your problem

Those, with the exception of team viewer, are basically the ones that dont need to be running while gaming unless you have a use for it.

The rule of thumb is, if you dont need something to be running while gaming, close it.

Ok, I will try your suggestions.
Ok, I tried your suggestions, but I still have the problem. I used malwarebytes but it didn't fix anything. Also VMware is probably my virtual machine, but I don't use it that often. Most of the other suggestions I found on the web say I need to use Windows event viewer to find the problem.

did you try closing them out?

dunno bud, those were the main things that stood out as a possibie cause.

whats the A360? i didnt mention that, no idea what that is.
or the gjagent and flexnet connect agents

just try the stuff that stands out that i didnt previously mention
A360 is something from Autodesk, and Autodesk is the software business that operates design programs like AutoCAD and Inventor (which I use). Gjagent is part of "Warthunder" another game I play.
I have closed out of all of the programs I thought I should, but it didn't do anything. It wasn't until I restarted my computer a few times is when the issue went away, but it's back the next day.
Should I just try to close as many programs as possible?

hmmm..

well something is causing it, possibly something that starts when the PC boots up.. i dont know what else it could be.
Good news, I did some experimenting with Windows event viewer and I think it has something to do with autodesk. But I have no idea how to disable it without uninstaling my autodesk programs, which I need for school. But the problem does seam to go away after a few restarts on my PC.

Same thing happened to me becuase of the Autodesk software. No need to uninstall anything. Go to your hidden icons (that arrow pointing up near your desktop clock in the right lower corner), right click on the Autodesk Desktop Application icon and choose quit/exit.

I'm sorry I am so late but I just discovered this. Good luck, I hope you can solve this!
@SummerBreeze - I didscovered that too. But thanks for the update.
