Problems with... these
okay... I'm kind of planning to buy a new computer that's able to run and play demanding and non-demanding games like Overwatch, Skyrim or Watch_Dogs 2. I've been looking up to the GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card... but these are the questions been swimming in my noggin.

Question 1: are other editions of the NVidia Graphics Cards like Windforce or AMD Radeon compatible to the NVidia's SLI Bridge

Question 2: What GTX Edition should I be looking up to (focused on 1080) The other registered Nvidia Graphics Card like Windforce or the Founders Edtion

All of them are SLI compatible. But only with up to 2 cards (oficially)

Windforce isn't a "type" of 1080 card. It's only the name Gigabyte calls their cooling solution. There are many other brands, and everyone calls it differently.

What you should be looking for is a card with at least 2 fans and support for passive mode. The Gigabyte Windforce is one of those. As are certain ASUS models or the MSI Gaming X.

EDIT: I overread something in Q1.
SLI is the nvidia version of dual-GPU usage.
AMD's version is called Crossfire.
If you buy an nvidia card and you plan to use SLI in the future you should make sure your mainboard supports SLI, not all do. Also you can'T mix AMD and nvidia cards.

If you're planning on anything less than 1440p/144hz then a 1080 is overkill.
