i5-7600k and gtx 1060 performance

will the core i5-7600k bottleneck a gtx 1060 perform fine on 1440p for most newer games?

i5-7600K wont bottleneck anything, it's latest top of the line CPU.
GTX 1070 would be better for 1440p, GTX 1060 is more of a 1080p card.

GTX1060 is a little underpowered for 1440P, it'll run it just fine but you'll have to turn some settings down.

I'd go for a GTX1070. I know it's an expensive card, but 1440p is kind of an expensive tech. You'll need a GPU like that to reliably get 60 FPS across all games at high settings.

1060 can do 1440p with lowered settings
but as said the 1070 would be a better choice for it.

and no bottleneck either way
