1366x768; 1920x1080 ???
If you have not already, wipe out the Drivers and redo them fresh with all the latest ones, so they are updated for newer games.
Your specs should be fine for any game really; just might have to turn some visuals down slightly if the FPS is not an ideal average for you.

Given how these laptop specs can run Wildlands, Witcher 3 won't be a problem.
Just disable the NVIDIA Hairworks in Witcher 3 settings.
Thanks for the help, have been looking at a couple of videos already where someone's only using the base 1050 and they seem perfectly fine, I just wanted to check that I wasn't going to spend a fortune on games for the summer that don't work!!
Again, many thanks for the assist!

What are you talking about; his specs are fine. Whos comparing laptop vs desktop components? You're obviously not reading, or dont understand English.
Yes sorry my bad there is a desktop 1050 but there is also a Notebook 1050 AND 1050 Ti.
Apologies for the confusion and thanks for the help.
I5 7300HQ is a good quad core CPU, it's only 15% less powerful compared to similar desktop variant.
There are also some low end dual core i5 for laptops. Such as "U" chips. But those with "HQ", are considered high end.
