Can an Intel i5 fit onto an Acer Aspire M1935 OEM motherboard?
I'm asking this because right now my computer is CPU limited, and motherboards won't fit all of the CPUs. (And I can't tell the exact motherboard model because IT DOESN'T HAVE ONE)

its Intel So.1155 so every CPU with that socket should fit but they are all outdated.

well an i7-3770 should fit but it is as expensive in germany as a new i7-7700K. So upgrading the Motherboard to DDR4 MoBo would be better.

My current motherboard uses DDR3 memory.

Right, so buy new Motherboard + CPU + DDR4 RAM
Or pay a ridiculous amount for an old CPU.

Have you tried looking on Ebay for i7-3770 ?

Can buy from just about anywhere in the world and have it shipped to you.

I bought a DDR4 by mistake, I think a new motherboard and a new CPU should do.

Ok, you did not attempt to install the DDR4 RAM into a DDR3 motherboard slot I hope?
You could easily damage either the slot or the ram module by attempting to do that.

I know it doesn't work, so I spent more money on 4 DDR3 2GB RAM chips.

Can you return the DDR3 RAM?

Honestly, after looking up everything for that ACER system, it's just not worth upgrading.
The Power Supply for one is very poor; either 200W or 250W (unless you replaced this already)
And that Motherboard is not very good to where I would suggest sticking any i7 on it.

That Case should be ok to re-use though, it does not appear to use any kind of special wiring, and has a standard USB 3.0 front connector to go to Motherboard header.

Best bet really would be getting a newer, current gen Motherboard such as B250M or Z270M (Micro ATX) + 7th Gen LGA-1151 CPU + DDR4-2400 RAM, such as 2x 8GB

If you're still using the power supply that ACER came with, then I'd replace that as well.

Alright.
I'll bring it to a local IT dealer and ask him to upgrade EVERYTHING except maybe the GTX 1050.

Suggestions:

If that cooler is not available in your country, try to get something similar, but ensure it will fit in the ACER case. If too tall, the side panel wont fit/close.

This one is slightly taller
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/cwPzK8/be-quiet-cpu-cooler-bk009
but both are shorter compared to "Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO or X"

Just buy an i5 3rd gen CPU ( as you have said in your main post, that you wanna do), and you will be fine again. You don't need an i7 for your current GPU /system.

Performance difference between i5 3rd gen vs 7th gen CPUs, is only around 10%. So it's still a good buy. And it's not overpriced either.

Alright, will ask the dealer about it.

if you can get an i5 3570k...it would be best..otherwise purchase a new cpu like the g4560 and a cheap motherboard.

If a new motherboard is required, it needs to be DDR3 compatible. (Or 4)

you don't need a new motherboard for i5-3470.
