- Set power plan to high preformance.
- Make sure no bloadware garbage is installed on the laptop that is doing that.
- Reinstall your Nvidia and Intel HD drivers because usually the laptop manufacturer will put crap custom drivers on it that limit preformance.
- Set both the Nvidia GPU and the Intel HD to high preformance.
- Make sure the laptop is actually using the Nvidia GPU and not the Intel HD.
- Make sure it isn't the game itself that is doing this check the options menu for a FPS locking when on battery setting.
What OMEGA said...
Be glad cus otherwise you'd be looking at 15 min on battery times prob.
They have a battery that can output the same as the AC power adapter; so you can fully game at full performance while on Battery power.
Very few laptops offer this, even to this day.
Which model of Acer Predator laptop is this exactly?

Thats pretty much the norm though for high end laptops. Pretty sure an alienware would also do it since theres a max size they can all put in laptops.
You can set most to go over 30 fps but your battery life will suffer and still wont get same performance as plugged in where they can draw max wattage.
Did we read the same link? Cus the alienware lasted 5 min longer under load in the one i read. Like they have the same size battery only alienware leaves the integrated chip enabled to get a longer idle/low use while on battery.
Most ppl, me included dont care about battery gaming performance not being over 30fps, especially with gsync to make it buttery smooth even at the low framerate. Im not gaming with it not plugged in for extended periods lol.
ensure games have VSync = Off
In NVIDIA CP, enable GSync
But yes, dump whatever ACER gave you for Drivers and get the latest from the Chipset Makers; Intel, NVIDIA, Realtek, etc...
Overall, you just can't expect full performance or long battery runtime when gaming on battery.
You can however do that, so at least it is an option on such Laptops.
I has a same problem.
