RX 480 vs. 580

Have they annouced how much more powerful the 580 will be comapred to the 480?

The 580 is just a cheaper 480 with slightly higher clockspeeds so there will not be a huge difference. If you want a high-end GPU wait for AMD Vega.

Thanks. I was thinking about using my old 380 in my GF's build, then giving her my 480 and upgrading to a 580. I guess I'll just get another 480 and sell my 380.

Who is telling you the Rx 580 8GB will be cheaper? The 580 prices I'm seeing scattered around are more than the 480 8GB was and is.

Rx 480 8GB Nitro OC is only $240usd.
