1050ti or 1060?

I'm thinking of Purchasing a Zotac GTX 1060 6GB/3GB Mini to pair with FX 6300. Is this prefferable over GTX 1050 Ti ?

Will FX 6300 + GTX 1060 be better than FX 6300 + GTX 1050 ti? Currently I am using

Phenom II X4 925 2.8GHz quad core
Gigabyte 78lmt-s2pt
8GB DDR3
HD7750-1GD5
1 & 2 TB WD Purple and Blue resp.
BENQ 18.5 inch display.

I want to play games like Batman - Arkham Knight, Witcher III, Rise of the TOmb Raider, Fallout 4... to mention a few.

I would like to game @ 1080p 60FPS Settings on max/mid. I am on a tight budget,

A new GPU won't help that PC much. It's time to start saving up and do an entire new build from the ground up.

You cant just use FX-6300 with your motherboard, it has completely different socket.
Both your CPU and FX-series are outdated.

My motherbaord does support FX 6300 with my updated bios. I'm curious as to whether ill get 60FPS @1080p with settings @ max.

Rx 470 is between them in terms of price and performance, it's it far behind the 1060's performance and it has the advantage of an extra gb of vram over the 1060

Even with an FX-6 + GTX 1060; pretty much none of those games will really run all that well without turning the in-game quality way done.

And FX-8370 + 990FX Motherboard + GTX 1060 6GB can barely do well on those games.

That doesn't matter; it won't run any better then current CPU; cause FX CPUs will not run like they should on such old Motherboard; that is what 990FX Motherboard is for.

Save up and get a 7th Gen i5 or AM4 Ryzen
16GB RAM
SSD + HDD
GTX 1060 6GB or better
Win10 64bit

That is really what is needed for todays games.

AM3 vs AM3+ ~ Not the same thing

FX CPU needs a 970 or 990FX; otherwise all you are going to get is Phenom II X4 or X6 performance. You'd basically just be throwing $ away by buying and FX CPU for a $40 motherboard like that one.

That doesn't matter; it won't run any better then current CPU; cause FX CPUs will not run like they should on such old Motherboard; that is what 990FX Motherboard is for.

Save up and get a 7th Gen i5 or AM4 Ryzen
16GB RAM
SSD + HDD
GTX 1060 6GB or better
Win10 64bit

That is really what is needed for todays games.

If i wanted to stream my games live as i play shd i go for Ryzen 5 1600 or will an i5 7400 suffice ? I also intend to play a lot of DOTA2 and CSGO with no frame drops below 60 fps.

The thing is I recently purchased OEM key for my Windows 10 hence I wanted to make the most out of my motherboard. I'll have to purchase another key, maybe retail this time from MS.

If its one or the other, always buy themost powerful you can. If you are going to buy a mobo and that 6300, dont. Get something newer or you'll be wanting to upgrade again a month feom now.

Ryzen looks like a great budget upgrade. If you cant get it all now, the 1060 will perform well till later on you can get a mobo/cpu/ram upgraded. Everything dont have to be done at once.

Actually all i wanna do right now is Play Dota 2 and CSGO. THose AAA titles i mentioned are gonna be purchased later on. CSGO runs just fine on my pc but I see massive frame drops in DOTA 2.

Also i use everything @ stock frequency so I don;t OC.
