No, it's part of doing regular maintenance. It is something that is a need to do on mechanical HDD types.
DO NOT DEFRAG SSD disks. Only hdd. It says that in the video also and explains why.

Auslogics disk defrag is the best program for defrag imho.

Well yea... thats why Win8/10 don't have that feature for SSDs.

HA, saw the link and thought like "Prob a Linus video" then it opens and boom, Linus xDDD
Defrag is a "tune up" for HDDs; run it once a month, or as deemed needed.

DO NOT run "defrag" on SSDs. SSDs only need TRIM Optimization, which if enabled in your OS, it will optimize SSDs slowly, over time.

Before any defrag, clean out the junk, or you waste time defragging junk you'll end up deleting anyways. Use something like CCleaner and Microsoft Disk Cleanup to rid the OS of unneeded junk files/cache. If a disk defrag has issues, reboot and run CHKDSK /F /R on any drive that is having issues completing a disk defrag properly; once CHKDSK completes, try defrag once again.
