*SOLVED* Random static *SOLVED*
I've had this pc for almost two months and everything works great except for this bizarre problem I can't find anything about online. When I boot up my pc and load up a video on youtube I will get really loud static in the left ear of my headphones. Its only when audio is played no matter the source. So I take out the headset, plug it back in and the static is gone.

Boot up my pc the next day and the static isn't there. Boot it up the day after that and it comes back. So I have to keep taking out my headset and plugging it back in every now and then after I start my pc and hear the static. I am really struggling to find the problem because this static appears only when the pc has started up and its not every day.

I have tried two different headsets so its not my headsets causing the issue.

I have been using the audio jack on the back of my computer and haven't tried the front one properly yet because apparently my friends can hear themselves through my headset when I use the front panel. I could start using the front panel audio jack to see if I get the static.

I can live with just taking my headset out and plugging it back in every couple of days but I worry that its going to get worse so I want to find out what the issue is.

I've reinstalled drivers and cleaned the audio jack already as well.

My specs

I don't know if its relevant but around the same time this static issue appeared my mic has suddenly gone really quiet. I have to set the microphone to volume 100 and microphone boost to +30.0 dB just for people to hear me. I didn't have this issue when I first got my pc.

Any help would be appreciated

If you are using the onboard sound and it is faulty, I would recommend installing a dedicated soundcard. Even testing a cheap soundcard to see if it is the onboard Realtek sound would be useful, you could always upgrade to a more expensive soundcard or a DAC if you find out that it is the onboard sound card that is faulty.

If you have issues with a Rear Port, disconnect the Front Panel Case Audio Connection completely; since that is most likely the reasons why. Especially if audio quality in tests differs by a great deal when comparing them. Front panel is just to be avoided, in most Cases they are just terrible cause is zero grounding or shielding for that; which is generally a long, thing cable. So that is typically why.

It's probably a defective jack on the front panel.

I took out that audio connection and unfortunately I just booted up my pc and the static is there. So I think I'm gonna do what synth suggested and borrow a cheap soundcard for a few days and see if I still get the issue. Cheers for the suggestions guys I really appreciate it.

Try disable Motherboard Onboard Audio, then use your GPU Audio.
If the GPU Audio does not have the issue, then a 3rd party Sound Card shouldn't either.
You could also avoid sound cards and get a USB DAC and use that instead.

I did what you suggested BadMotha and I must have started my pc six times with the gpu audio and no static occured at all. Plugged my headset in the back of the computer and after two start ups static occured so looks like I'm gonna buy a DAC or soundcard. I don't know enough about dacs and soundcards so I'm gonna do some research on them so I know more about what I'm buying.

Ta very much for the help. Its a relief to know that this problem can be sorted quite easily.

USB DAC have come along way in recent years. This is very helpful device because the user can then turn off things like GPU Audio and Motherboard Audio, forget about those and move on. A USB DAC allows plug and play usage (much like a standalone USB headset) but a DAC provides overall better features, system isolate (like from Power Supply noise), not to mention a DAC provides a headphone amp; something many onboard audio or even cheaper sound cards are missing.
