those owning ASUS RAMPAGE V EXTREME with 32gb or more why doesnt my board detect the full 32gb and only detects the 16gb
please help !

i have them in the red slots its 4x8 sticks 3000mhz

That mobo should take up to 128gb RAM. Make sure that the RAM is correctly seated (this is probably not the problem or the PC would not have boothed). Are you sure you installed 32gb?
Try a CMOS reset.

That is a possibility. A worst case scenario.


Did it ever detect all 32gb of RAM? Or did you just add another 16gb?

No it was detecting it fine till I dusted out the rig and fiddled with a stick

I had 32gb running for 6months straight till I moved em

My motherboard is 3 months old

A couple more things your could try:
-Get the RAM out and make sure there is no dust or anything in the slots.
-Move the memory from second to third priority and see if that make a difference.
-Start to check each stick one by one to see if the PC boots with it to filter out any bad ones.

Remove all the RAM, blow out the Slots, then securely reinstall all the RAM again.
Don't let the board bend, put your hand under the board when you install the RAM.
