Why are the Asus 'Dual' versions of cards so cheap?
Yo, some of the RX 480's are over £200, but the cheapest is the Dual version, at around £160, the same pattern exists with other cards

Are 'Asus dual' cards rubbish or something?

trying to sell more before AMDs new cards come out
trying to sell more before the pumped up NVIDIA GPUs come out

Any number of reasons

but ASUS tend to have decent prices

Many asus 480 users have problems with this card. Asus have to sell the scrap cheaper or else stay on it. XD

The dual one is weaker and aesthetically boring if I remember right. Just wait for Sapphire and Asus to release their 580's before buying.

Few reasons I can think of:

- It might be the 4gb model, those are generally cheaper than the 8gb ones

- Could simply be a sale on currently?

- The Dual is the lower end Asus model. They also have their more expensive Strix line

- RX 580 (a refreshed/better 480) is out soon, so that might have something to do with lower price.

Never used an Asus Dual model, so couldn't tell you of the quality. The 480 itself though is a decent mid range card.
