Enabling HDR on Hisense TV.
Hi all, I would really appreciate it if anyone could help me figure out how to enable HDR on my Hisense TV. Here is the model number, Hisenese 43K300UW. Thank you very much!

Don't own a Hisense Tv but I'm going to suggest you check which port you have connected to. I know my TV doesn't have certain function when connect via a certain HDMI port. Can't remember exactly as I only use the Smart feature for netflix so havn't connected anything via HDMI.

If that isn't a problem then to enable HDR mode, on mine so yours will obviouslly differ but on my remote I push the
Settings button > Picture > Picture Mode > HDR mode

Sorry that doesn't help, was hoping for some similarities in menu/option locations. Have 3 TV's in this house and only my Samsung has HDR. Neither of the others are Hinesse so I can't even look at the interface to make a educated guess ;/

Oh, just a thought. Last idea from me but have your checked The Firmware is the lastest available? Vaguely remember hearing something last year that some TVs had hardware support but were waiting for firmware updates to enable it.

I think thats the problem, every video i've seen is someone updating the firmware and then getting the feature but when I try to download it it says that there's no new firmware available :(.

If its possible to update via USB you can download the latest to a USB stick and try that. If that doesn't work see if there is a way to reset you TV to factory settings, if there is

Make a note (photos work great) of any settings you want to keep, picture brightness, contrast, gamma, sound tweaks etc so you won't need to fiddle to find what you like again. Disconnect network cable if one is connected.

Reset the TV and then use the USB to update Firmware. Once updated reconnect to internet cable or wifi and hopefully you will find a HDR option somewhere.

It doesn't suppor HDR; it's just your average cheap quality TV; nothing special about it.

First thing I did was an online search for the TV. Didn't see HDR mentioned as an option at all, without yes/no/tick on the first result but the second result

http://www.comx-computers.co.za/43K300UW-specifications-152035.htm

List specs with HDR - High Dynamic Range for luminance along with 'Yes'

Thats what I was basing my responses on.

Since your comment I redid the search and checked a few more results, besides the link above their is one more result that states the HISENSE 43K300UW has HDR

http://www.laptopdirect.co.za/HiSense-HISENSE-LEDN43K300U-p-152549.php

Out of the 10 results I checked it was only these two sites that list the TV as having HDR. I'd suspect these are not the only 2. Since 80% of results either don't mention HDR or list it as No, I'm inclined to agree with Bad-Motha that the TV doesn't have HDR and say that incorrect information specified on some sites may have mislead you, and me, to believe it does.

Unfortunatley you will need to purchase a new TV if you want to utilise HDR

Then the manufacture is just really bad; cause their specs page don't even have one word regarding HDR in the official specs.

Look and see if there are multiple HDMI; if so one should be 2.0
Usually only that one will have the HDR
