Use a router for steam link with no internet
So i bought a new router for my steam link a 5ghz one. I have my gaming pc on the other side of the house so i cant exactly stream to my living room. I use a dual band router to connect to my pc that is on the other side of the house. Recently i bought a new router so that i can use it with the steam link on 5ghz. How would i set up this router? I have my new router next to my computer plugged into the ethernert. While im getting my actual internet connection wirelessly from the router in the other room thats on the other side of the house. How would i go about configuring the new router so that i can put my steam link in my living room and the router that is next to my pc has no internet only connected to ethernet while i get my internet from my other router wirelessly.

Is the internet router in the living room? If yes just connect the steam link to it with UTP.

Its not the router is on the other side of the house that i get internet from. The only thing in the living room is the steam link. I dont know if maybe somehow i cant have router2 without internet connected to my pc while i use router 1 to get internet. Then maybe use router2 to stream to the steam link in the living room.

You can only connect to one router at once (unless you do some complicated stuff with your PC) but it should just work if you connect the steam link to the router without internet in the living room and then connect your PC's wifi to it. 99% sure it will work.

Why would you buy multiple Routers?
That's not how you do things. You use 1x Modem and 1x Router, that's it.
If you need more Wired Ports off a Router, you get a Wired LAN Switch; like an 8-port Switch for example. This uses 1x port off a Router and then you get 7-ports to use on an 8-port switch, allowing easy expansion of wired ports beyond the typical 4 that most Routers offer.

If you want 5Ghz, then replace your main router with one that offers better features/speeds; like 2.4Ghz Wireless-N + 5Ghz Wireless-AC

If you need to extend WiFi; then you need a WiFi Extender, not another Router.

You can also use PowerLine RJ45 (Wired LAN) Adapters

Thanks for the feedback. So it did work and the Steam Link is amazing i get no lag at all when using the router with no internet. The only problem that i have to solve now is i have multiple networks on my pc connected wirelessly to the internet and with the router that has no interenet via ethernet. And the problem is i have no internet access on my pc but ill be working on that tonight.
