Is there any difference gaming 1440p on a 23-24inch monitor to a 27 inch
Im looking at monitors to buy.Monitors with a 1440p resolution with G sync and 144hz.I came across one of the acer predator monitors on amazon that sells a 1440p monitor but in 2 sizes. 23.8 inches and 27 inch.Is there any difference?

Other than the difference in size, there is pixel pitch. That is the size of the pixels required to fill the screen with no noticeable 'dead' spots in between the pixels. If you're looking at 1440p, I would go with the 27" if you have the desktop space.

1920 x 1080 or 2560 x 1440 simply means more pixels/detail the higher the number.

1920 pixels wide x 1080 pixels high = 2,073,600
2560 pixels wide x 1440 pixels high = 3,686,400

1440 is approx 30% more pixels the 1080 so you'd get more detail and a better picture.

Therefore a 1440p monitor will require a better GPU, ruffly 30% better than a GPU a 1080p monitor would need to run a game at equal settings.

Basically, if you have a decent GPU or intend to upgrade in the near future go for the 1440p
thx for the help.I think i would go for the 1440p monitor.Since i got a gtx 1080.Most games i could hit over 100 fps and if i get lower then 60 i could always lower the graphics settings

GTX 1080 can do 1440p easy so you don't have to worry about that.

I play CS:GO at 1440p, hasn't affected my aim. Worse case if it does just lower the resolution, still have a bigger screen so peoples head will be slightly bigger lol

because i went to this cybercafe in singapore once.They had 4k monitors like everything premium.But cs go felt so weird

2,073,600 x 1.7 = 3,686,400 and 1.7 is the same as 70%. For some reason I took 70% from 100% to get 30%. Thats the only way I can think of to explain how I got 30%........

I have a gtx 1080 and a intel core i5 6600k at 3.5 GHz but im thinking about getting a new and better cpu since i cant overclock my cpu with my current mother board
