And cost $400+ - not really a good price/performance ratio.
I'd just hold off and wait for Nvidia Volta, your 980 should still be running new releases just fine.
^^ anything less wouldn't really be an upgrade, just newer and slightly shinier.
hummmmmmm, not really true for ULTRA preset like WILDLANDS
Yeah, but no single GPU can run that game on the ultra preset at 1080p without dips. Even the 1080Ti and Titan X drop below the 60 FPS threshold at times.
The only way to not dip below 60 would be to accept that PC games have graphical settings for a reason, or go with SLI and accept the woes that it brings too.
(only little fps drops maybe :D)
