Nvidia 3D Vision Driver Not Installing HELP (Solved)
As title says the Nvidia 3D Vision Driver isn't installing on my pc

Things I've tried:

Rolling back driver to earlier version
Unplugging and Re plugging into another usb port the nvidia pyramid thingy
DDU and new install of driver
Clean install of driver
Complete scan with Spy Hunter
Turned off sli
Removed sli bridge
Removed second card completely
Swapped cards from top/bottom
DDU and clean install of known good driver, still fails

Idfk what to try now, any suggestions?

The 1070's that are in my pc aren't original, they've both been repaired/replaced

DDU > Safe Mode > Restart
When comes up in safe mode and ddu launches, check options and ensure everything NVIDIA is being flushed out. Judging by the screenshot, you did some sort of roll-back only and then tried a newer driver; please wipe it all out with DDU first.

The newer driver package is here:
http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/115886

After using DDU and rebooting, please download and install latest Motherboard Chipset as well, first.

I have the newest driver, that's where this issue started, 378.78 failed the 3d vision driver.

I did restart in safe mode to run ddu (the version I have makes you restart in safe mode), once it finished and rebooted back to windows @ 640x480 resolution I clean installed a known good driver and got the same result I had been getting where it says failed.

Also I had been using 3D vision before updating to the newest driver and it worked fine before for 3d games and movies but now it's like it hates me or something, no matter what I try it won't install and I'm not reinstalling windows.

I have an msi 990fxa Gaming mobo w. Fx8370 cpu, 16gb ddr3 2133mhz ram, sli Asus strix gtx 1070's and 4 storage devices 2hdd 2ssd, the thing is though I just had my original 1070 replaced and this only happened when installing the new driver with the new gpu. I've had it about a week and games and everything else run fine.

The 3D stereoscopic usb controller is working properly according to its properties in the devices and printer list.

It says 369 already installed
376 failed...

So you're not even on the latest driver install; you're on 376.33, which is already old.

None of those versions should be there / listed if you cleaned out everything via DDU

Check the Options within DDU after rebooted to safe mode. Ensure you are actually wiping everything "NVIDIA"

Got and ran the new version of DDU and deleted a couple registry values for nvidia 3d before installing the driver and it installed, woot 3D again.

376 was a known good driver I had in my Nvidia folder, I took the screenshot to show that it was failing no matter what I tried.

The 3d vision controller doesn't always have the same version number as the driver, they only update it every so often.

Yes I understand that? But was I wrong about what I said?
Plus it said for PhysX "Same or newer version already installed"
So that tells me DDU was not used.

Now again, people do not have to use DDU. When if you are installing driver package over driver package, that is wrong, that is not how any of this works. Uninstalling all the current stuff, rebooting and installing the new is how you would normally do it, if not using something like DDU.

No you weren't wrong, I had a version of DDU that's a few months old which may have been contributing, the already installed bits in the screenshot were there because I was just installing and reinstalling different versions of the driver in hopes it would work. The screenshot was taken after probably like 3 different drivers I tried.

Oh, yea always check for newer DDU from their site maybe when you go to download latest GPU Driver. As they go hand and hand a bit; sometimes older DDU has issues properly removing everything from certain newer driver packages, their registry keys, etc. As all of that does change some over time.
