You're better off building or buying a new PC, since you'd have to upgrade practically everything to make that PC decent.
Best bet is keep that PC for lighter/less demanding stuff and build a new one for those newer gen or otherwise demanding games.
im just lookin to have more games to play... atm its 1/3 of C&C first decade, diablo 2 lod, and maybe starcraft broodwars, if i can find the disk...
There is no reason to, it will run old stuff like Diablo 1 & 2 just fine.
If you intend to keep it, max out the RAM.
Install latest Win10 64bit + all latest Drivers.
For Win8 / 10 on that system, it requires a dedicated GPU that is supported.
As NForce / Geforce 430 are not supported on those OS.
