need info about upgrades please.
i have el1358g-51w emachines computer, some say i can upgrade to 8gb ram, though online only sells 2 or 4 gb ram chips, why cant i just get a 32 gb ram chip and call it good? i have no real computer experience besides building a "fanken computer" years ago. effectivly it had more cooperation than most things.(nec hard drive, compac motherboard, ibm ram, pent 3 processor, and other components from other computers)... and if i am unable to upgrade to an effective ram (like 16 or more, cuz yall know 8 isnt gona run anything, as far as games goes...) then should i just go steam machine, or try for a cheeper alternative...(though i dont know what)

also, i am running windows 10, and i have gotten diablo 2 lod to run, without problems (after much tweeking...)

PC is too old; it shouldn't even be running Win8 or 10

ROFL, thats funny, cuz im running win 10... some problems, because of only 3 gb ram (says 2.75 usable... 1 chp at 2gb the other at 1gb) and only 1 option under model number for upgrade (only 2 gb ram)

It's time to save up and build a new PC

There's no one thing that you can upgrade to make that PC any good for modern games. The RAM is low, the CPU and GPU are both very weak, and the PSU isn't enough for any graphics card that would get you decent gaming performance.

You're better off building or buying a new PC, since you'd have to upgrade practically everything to make that PC decent.

And most of those old Athlon systems are limited to around 4GB or 8GB max RAM

Best bet is keep that PC for lighter/less demanding stuff and build a new one for those newer gen or otherwise demanding games.

is there a way to "over clock" the systems ram and or cpu?

im just lookin to have more games to play... atm its 1/3 of C&C first decade, diablo 2 lod, and maybe starcraft broodwars, if i can find the disk...

Its a Emachines, so no.

There is no reason to, it will run old stuff like Diablo 1 & 2 just fine.

If you intend to keep it, max out the RAM.
Install latest Win10 64bit + all latest Drivers.
For Win8 / 10 on that system, it requires a dedicated GPU that is supported.
As NForce / Geforce 430 are not supported on those OS.

It supports 2x 2GB DDR3 1600 ~ MAX
