Warning about Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU)
This is an issue some are having with DDU, so I will explain.

Some users are experiencing issues where they are getting BSoD
MACHINE_CHECK_EXEPTION

Before you run DDU, it is suggested that to help ensure you avoid this kind of issue, first unplug any non-essential USB devices. So everything USB except Keyboard & Mouse.

Also if you have any extra Displays, disconnect all except for the one you deem as the Primary Display.

When you run DDU, select Safe Mode (always), and click Restart from the DDU App itself.

When Safe Mode loads up, wait for the DDU App to also load up.

Check within DDU Options at this point to ensure what all it can/will wipe.
Things like PhysX and such... as you will want to wipe all of those extras as well.
DO NOT select to wipe out:
C:\AMD
C:\NVIDIA
These are temp file locations for the GPU installers, to which many may want to keep intact, as is. Since those are installers only, that can always be deleted at a later time as you see fit.

Regardless of using DDU to wipe out a single GPU Driver family, it is best to click each brand, one at a time, then click "Clean but do not Restart"; repeat this until each brand (AMD, Intel, NVIDIA) are wiped out. Then you are ready to restart Windows and it will return to Normal Mode.

DDU does wipe Motherboard Chipset & GPU Drivers, based on those brands, so please understand this.

So if you have say; Intel CPU Laptop w/ NVIDIA GPU, the following gets wiped.
- Intel Chipset INF
- Intel HD Graphics
- NVIDIA Forceware Mobile (along with the rest for NVIDIA, PhysX, GFE, etc.)

Once back in Normal Mode; install drivers in this order (according to your config)
1 = Chipset
2 = Onboard GPU (if present; like in a Laptop)
3 = Dedicated GPU

Be sure to restart after each driver package installer completes.
Even if it does not ask you to.

For AMD Chipset Drivers, when you go to the GPU Driver page for your GPU Family & OS on AMD's website, the GPU Driver page has a section labeled OPTIONAL, there you will AMD Motherboard Chipset Driver.

Hope this helps, have a good day.

Useful info.

I never had a BSOD due to DDU but ran into some other issues instead. I stopped using it for some time already.

It appears to be a new issue due to some newer NVIDIA Drivers; but overall it does not seem to just be driver version issue with DDU, more/less the extra devices.

Since the Chipset Driver can get wiped, this can sometimes cause the BSoD when all those extra devices are still plugged in.

Here is a reference to such an issue:

I think this is due to the old outdated (2012) WPD, USB and IGP drivers, released a couple of weeks ago(2-4), which created a problems for USB hosted devices and Intel video, the few days ago M$ finally reacted, withdrew this patches and published an instruction to remove and block this garbage...
Never understood the sense in using third-party uninstallation programs - I used the standard functionality ... in extreme cases - avz

Well for one, its a heck of alot faster to just run DDU and wipe out Chipset & GPU Drivers to ensure they are gone for version change needs.

It cuts down on time to uninstall, big time.

With the normal uninstaller method, you will be uninstalling something that may require a reboot before allowed to uninstall another.
