5600rpm vs 7200rpm
Hi i am gonna buy a external hdd for my xbox one (not s). i would like 2tb of extra space, but also 7200rpm. After some research i found both people saying that a 5600rpm hdd would work fine, and people who almost forbid it. Anybody know something about it? (i dont know if this is relevant, but i have the 500gb version)

A 7200rpm drive has faster read/write speed than a 5400rpm drive. But both work fine for storing games. With a 7200rpm drive you will spend less time waiting in loadscreens compared to a 5400rpm drive.

That means that USB 3.0 can move up to 5 gigabits (not to be confused with gigabytes) that is about 625 megabytes every second.

Not download but load and a hard drive will never reach those speeds. Solid state drives barelly reach those speeds.
