can't install drivers?
sorry for the weird template, i just copied and pasted this from reddit

Status: UNRESOLVED Computer Type: Desktop computer, custom built by my father GPU: i have no idea how much vram my gpu has, but my gpu is a geforce 560ti CPU: intel core i5 2.8ghz 4 cpu's Motherboard: i have no idea, i think it's an asus one RAM: 4gb ram PSU: it's a corsair vs450 psu Operating System & Version: win10 (worked fine for a year and a half) GPU Drivers: previously had the standard international nvidia drivers before i uninstalled them because of a bsod Description of Problem: okay so i cannot install any nvidia graphics drivers without my pc crashing or restarting, or sometimes getting a bsod dpc_watchdog_violation, i uninstalled all of my graphics drivers due to a bsod i got while doing standard work on my pc (no viruses), i used ddu to uninstall everything, and when i go to install a driver it gets to "installing graphics drivers" and then about half way trough it crashes like mentioned before Troubleshooting: tried to do stuff from various websites i saw, these include: uninstalling everything via ddu in safe mode installing graphics drivers trough safe mode (they installed but as soon as i restart my pc it crashes) cleaning my gpu (i didn't really clean it, more like blew on it since there isn't much dirt in there since i cleaned it a month prior tried low res mode (same thing) tried diffrent nvidia graphics drivers (does not work)
SITES I TRIED TO SOLVE MY PROBLEM FROM:

You never know. Likely not, but there's a chance :)

Do you even know what you are saying?

You run DDU > wipe Drivers > reboot > install drivers > done
i tried that already, i wiped every driver, and selected a CLEAN install and only ticked graphics drivers and physx

Still not working properly?

After using DDU, install latest Motherboard Chipset Driver first.
Reboot then GPU Driver install.
Since you already did GPU, should be fine, now get all latest Motherboard Drivers.

Why do people think the GPU is the only part?

We're just recommending one of many ways he can get his GPU drivers installed.

There's no need to be that hostile.

i honestly think it's only the gpu, my screen was just glitched for no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason and then my pc crashed, i'm gonna say what happened, note that before everything (a couple of days ago) i was playing cod waw and my screen just went completly black for like 10 seconds (never happened before) and it came back normally, even tho i was lagging a bit.
i downloaded a torrent and went to install a small game (i downloaded this torrent before and it has no viruses or anything), as soon as the installation popped up i went to file explorer to get the keygen when all of a sudden i see weird blocks on my screen (chopped up screen) it looked like one of those bios corruption videos (all my other pc parts are fine, i'm running an ssd btw), then my pc went to black and i force reset it, then i got a bsod that said something about win_expedition and it gave me the "infamous" nvlddmkm.sys error, i had to go to safe mode and remove ALL graphics drivers, when i did that i rebooted my windows NORMALLY, and went to install the drivers that i installed when i first installed windows (i still had them on my hdd) and during the installation i was on a skype call when suddenly my screen blacked out and i could hear the glitched out sound when it's going rapidly and ear raping me (i think you know what i mean) until my pc reset ITSELF, then it was normal, i tried to install YET again, but this time i didn't restart when my pc crashed, i waited, and i got a glitched bsod that said "dpc_watchdog_violation", but not all times will that happen, sometimes my pc resets like the first time i was on skype while installing drivers

i just tried with nvidia geforce but nope, same ♥♥♥♥ over and over

If your computer is also making weird noises, then it's not the GPU driver.

Depends what noise he was hearing. Was it a noise physically from the PC, or through your headset/speakers? Sometimes my Skype makes my headset play a tiny section of whatever audio was playing just as Skype closes. It plays this small section of audio very quickly on repeat for about 5 seconds. It doesn't happen all the time, but it happens. It's kind of an audio bug with Skype than a hardware issue.

But then again, it does depend on what sound the OP was referring to.

no, my pc didn't make the eerie sound, my HEADPHONES made that eerie sound, i think everyone knows that sound, it's when you get a bsod while your computer is playing a sound so it glitches out

Ok that's the noise I was referring to. It seems like we've covered most bases. The only other 2 options are restoring or completely reinstalling Windows. My current PC used to be Windows 7 and I took the free Windows 10 offer while it was on. I had an issue on 7 where I kept getting USB errors even though no USB devices were plugged in; it was almost like bug within Windows. After the Windows 10 upgrade had installed, the issue completely went. Sometimes things just go wrong, it could always be Windows causing an underlying issue :calm_creep:

If there's anything else you haven't tried. try that first. Do this as a last resort.

Just backup any data you need of the OS drive and wipe that drive out completely and clean install Win10 64bit. It doesn't take long to get back to where you were.

Whats your full specs?
If unsure, just share a CPU-Z validation

I can only tell you that my pc is custom built, around 7 years ago, didnt have any problems except 1 time with my ssd (that i got last year) that couldnt boot up windows, i solved that problem by opening up my pc and unplugging and plugging in the Cables that connected to tbe ssd
