Yes I was going to actually add you and ask about ones like these.
Thanks for linking them. Also is there any ways to gain updated definitions and then update/replace files on a Live/Boot tool like those?
Or do they just update the whole tool (ISO) over time and you can simply wipe a flash drive and redo it with an updated one?
Now I practically do not use it, and at once I will not say in which status it is, on the support site there is kb article on it http://support.kaspersky.com/4407 , but it has not been updated for several years
When using live usb(and iso), you can update directly from the loaded system, if the network is working normally (user need to be able to configure the network in linux)
I will have to look at the KL forum, what are the problems now...
http://support.kaspersky.com/11705 - now all products updated via KUU3.0
As for Dr.Web, ISO never have updater, there are no official utilities for incremental updates in public access
There are some more good utilities, but they require a higher level of knowledge (with some I have not yet figured out how to use them correctly), although they allow you to detect more advanced rootkits
If you dont trust Defender get maybe something like Avast, Avira or Bitdefender.
I really don't see a need for buying a Av anymore. The free versions are more then adequate.
And free BitDefender will do really nothing for you either.

Feel free to make suggestions to add on to those in the listing.
Ideally I would say, disable Defender, regardless. It is the reason Win10 chugs along and takes time to do anything at all when you click stuff. It is a joke.
