Should I get a gtx 1080 ti to replace my gtx 1070?
I was planning on selling my cs go knife worth $300 and then selling my graphics card so I would be set up pretty good to upgrade and this card is really freakin sweet spec wise.

How about this:

absolutely not way overpriced and not even 1ms response time.
The whole 1ms gtg response time is BS marketing. The monitor linked by Bad-Motha is widely considered to be the best gaming monitor on the market for a reason. The prohibitive pricing part I understand though.

No the others are roughly same cost; but are generally 144Hz TN Panels
That one is: IPS Panel 165Hz 4ms G-SYNC
^That trumps any 1ms TN Panel, by-far.

No point in a standard 144Hz without Sync; your FPS and screen-tearing will be all over the place if you can't sustain a solid 144 FPS Sync. This is where AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA GSync come into play. They can allow variable FPS, while sync'ing between GPU Frames and Display actual frames; making it so doing say, VSync @ 144Hz would not be a requirement to avoid screen-tearing.

all right i've come to a conclusion to just play with what I have until I actually need to upgrade in the future. I'm just thankful for even having this rig compared to what I was playing with before. laptop 15 inch hp envy nvidia geforce gt 740m (super ♥♥♥♥ unless you play games like skyrim and cs go) and an i7 2.4 Ghz processor.
