Are my temps too high?
Hey everyone, just a quick post and a quick question for everyone. First off, Here are my specs

MSI GS70 2QE STEALTH PRO
Intel i7 5700HQ 2.70Ghz (4 Cores, 8 Threads)
16GB RAM (DDR3L)
Geforce GTX 970M 3GB
Windows 10
128GB SSD, 1TB HDD

When I run H1Z1 KOTK, im getting temperatures around 90 and sometimes up to 95 on my CPU. Im using TWO opolar LC06 vacuum fans, one on each side of the computer. Im running the game on low settings. Ive been using RealTempGT to record my temps. Ive read that these GPU'S AND CPU'S are okay with getting this hot because they are made for a gaming?

Are these temps to high? What should i do?....i plan on opening my computer next week and cleaning my fans out and re-thermal pasting my CPU and my GPU using ARCTIC MX-4.

Yes its quite high, its under throttling temp but you might get it in weeks/months as more dust builds up there, you need to open your laptop and clean the fan. I remember when i was playing on a laptop 2 years ago, my temps were very high after 5 mins of gaming, cpu was hitting 100c and gpu 94c, massive frame drops due to throttling, i decided to clean the laptop inside, used mx4 paste and i couldnt believe, after hours of gaming the highest cpu temp was 80 and gpu 75. Its worth it.

GS have poor cooling (compared to say the GT versions); you can't really address that.
But yea blow out all the dust, sometimes this means taking the Laptop apart if you want to actually clean it well.

Try using VSync in Games to help lower the heat.

I don't see why you have to use Low Settings in games, crank it up, it can handle it.
The settings is not what makes the hardware run hot, it's the load and higher FPS that do that.

oh true? i can run higher settings without having higher temps?? also i get around 60-80 FPS on low settings on H1Z1 KOTK...do you think i can still crank up the settings?

Don't be scared to just put all the setttings on max; all the would happen really is poor FPS.
Then turn down some non essentials unless you achieve better FPS; things like Shadow Quality/Distance, Anti-Aliasing, God Rays, Motion Blur, Depth of Field....

Try with VSync enabled, so the FPS is capped.

If any OC is active , disable it .

Might use a cooling pad .

Set max processor state = 85% in the current power plan of Windows
