What OS did it come with? Or have on it already?
you get mail.ru browser + mail.ru agent + mail.ru guard - it's branded chromium or firefox crapware
add to all bookmarks, set it as default browser, change static routes, dns settings, firewall, etc.
guard protect it from antiviruses, etc.
It's scourge of God, punishment for those who like free content
very often shipped with free MMO ... and pirated software...
I usually do not spend time on the treatment system with mail.ru, and make backups of user data and settings, and completely format the system partition - it's much faster and more reliable than checking the OS and restore ALL security settings that are breach this funny trio
advarecleaner can't remove it completely only adwarecleaner + avz + virusinfo expert (your level of knowledge about Win should be same as Bad-Motha, or my)
DL https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/SystemRescueCD or http://gparted.org/livecd.php , make bootable usb and look at partitioning structure and it's status - maybe you still can backup your important data on other disk, then restore from hidden recovery partition and then make choice: restore your settings, upgrade to W10 or clean install
it's NOT a virus, it's PUP (Potential Unwanted Program) + specific adware (promotion mail.ru projects), it not inject to exe \ dll, just broken security and network settings... but, eah, clean install is most fast way get it rid and all other trash
What you can do, is your free Win10 upgrade; then once that has been activated, wipe the system clean fully and then install Win10 fresh.
Win10 is about the only option you have now; unless you go purchase a legit copy of Windows 7 or 8.1
Best bet is just install the MalwareBytes and see what all that finds.
Do the cleanup, then install the Win10 upgrade and go from there.
I layed out the details on doing Win10 upgrade here:

*Scroll down til you see:
Here is how to still be able to grab your Win10 free upgrade from Microsoft.
and follow those details.
If you need help with any of that, let me know.
Again thank you all for the help :)
As there could still be plenty of things you simply don't know are on there simply because of them not being detected. Many virus can hide in the system cause they can often be using legit OS related EXE and DLL to ultimately run in the background, phishing data, etc. Going undetected due to them routing through these legit OS files.
